All eyes and boos with Berbatov playing at his former residence. He didn’t have too much of an impact though. The first few chances in the game were for Tottenham, with moments of brilliance from David Bentley and Aaron Lennon. A Cristiano Ronaldo goal was ruled out for handball, but it was the night of the goalkeepers with Van Der Sar and Gomes (in particular) pulling off spectacular saves. Modric had a pretty good game too.
