Chelsea were held off and didn’t have too many real opportunities apart from a glorious miss by Ashley Cole after being neatly set-up by Argentinean youngster, Di Santo. Liverpool could have gone 2 up in the 2nd half when an Alonso free kick knocked the post and was neatly cleared away by Carvalho.
