Van Persie was at the centre of it all. He first had a freekick tipped onto the post by Hull goalkeeper Myhill and then was involved in all three goals scored by the Gunners. With Arsenal going into the break a goal up things were looking fine. But the 2nd half saw a resurgent Hull and Arsenal looking like they were going to rpoduce yet another heartbreak-for-the-fans play. Daniel Cousin who had been shaking off Djourou even in the 1st half brought back bad memories of Hull vs Arsenal at the Emirates. But a couple of super goals ensured that lightning strikes at home, but not away.
